sorry but i dont see progress with this offense. all you need from them is ok but they nearly cost us the game tonight and couldnt seem to help the defense at all. the short yardage situations are laughable and predictable. for the life of me i cant understand how this offense can be this brutal after what seems like decades. if the O is even mediocre we win the last 2 games.

I actually thought the NFLN coverage tonight was solid. They were very honest in the calls on the field and when they were crap, and there were enough things to question for both teams. Only thing I wish is that the post game guys would have looked at Hartline's catch again, even in the regular angles it looked like he touched, but the upfield angle was completely obvious that he touched.

It's overcome; the streak was ended against a tough team and we're in the same position that every roughly .500 team is in now. We needed a win to get us point in the right direction, and this one being such a hotley contested one on prime time could help build some momentum.

Good write up as usual but I cannot get behind Ireland, Philbin or Sherman. I just don't think I have seen the progress from this team under them. Then with everything that happened this week that is just the icing on the cake for me.

With how good our OL did last night and in run games recently, we may want to look at them and see if theres anyway we can better them. Incognito is a good player, Jerry is getting better, and McKinnie is solid. Clabo and Martin can go, or Martin can stick around as a backup (after his fiasco, many teams wont even want him, so let him stay as a good backup). But I see no reason to dump McKinnie or Incognito, or even Jerry...he can at least be a good backup. The entire right side of our OL should be new next year, and you don't draft an RT in the first round. Im happy with McKinnie for the next 2-3 years, which he can do.

And I won't turn this into an Ireland bash. Great win tonight. Beat the Bucs. 5-4 is back in it.
Nor does it stifle my concern with this coaching staff. Great win but I am keeping it in perspective.

If Jeff leaves, then a new GM might want his own coach and then we go and start over. I am not at a "start over phase" at this point.

My wife was somewhat angry with me this morning...I am not sure why. Maybe it was my bitching and moaning with Daniel Thomas on short yardage plays or maybe it was me busting into the room last night with her dead asleep and piled on her yelling, "we won, won! we won on a safety!" lol.
