lets put it this way, If Ryan Tannehill were suddenly on the market based on his tape, guess what?

about 15 teams would be inquiring about him in minutes.

The Redskins might be one of them. I know Houston would love him.

    Oh boy.

Here we go again. The same nonsense we heard when Henne was here.

Agree or disagree that one player is better than the other? Agree or disagree that one player has shown growth and improvement while another player has not?
    Oh no, we suck again!

I do not think RT is horrible, he was not very impressive in person.

Jake Locker showed far less in his first two seasons and got a year three. It paid off for Tennessee before he got hurt.

Because it's a lot easier as a fan to simply say "the QB sucks" and pound the table for Matt Moore or Pat Devlin than it is to accept the frustrating truth that our team is not as close as many had hoped and our QB still needs more time to develop.
I absolutely agree with you. Since the beginning of our season (no, actually Week 4 when all of the haters started coming out saying Tannehill sucks), he has made drastic improvements to his game. All of the posts were he has no pocket presence, he doesn't run, he never throws the deep ball, he takes too many sacks, his decision-making needs to get better, etc. Every one of these complaints has been improved. He still has a long way to go, but his ceiling is high and he is working on all of these problems. He is missing most of his starters on the O-Line, yet his sacks have reduced tremendously. Part of that is better play by some young guys, but it is also his pocket presence and decision-making. He is working on the long ball. He threw 4 today. If I am not mistaken, that is close to how many he has thrown all season. The first 2 were underthrown, but good enough for the receiver to make the play. The 3rd one was overthrown, but looking back at it, I really think Wallace's hamstring played a big role on that play. He was not full speed after the ball was thrown. The last one was on Wallace. Tannehill got hit on the throw and still made a very nice CATCHABLE throw that hit his receiver in the hands. TD if caught. Timing on that one was not far off. He is making the adjustments and is improving every week.

Why is it always on Tannehill when the team doesn't win? He will not be able to grow to his potential with some of the coaches around him. It is not his fault that he has to throw from a shotgun on EVERY play, he has NO running game around him and doesn't have the consistent seam threat TE. How about blaming Jones for the stupid penalty or the no call in the endzone on Matthews? How about Sturgis, who missed a FG, or the coach's decision to even kick it? How about Thigpen who runs the ball out of the endzone with 45 seconds left and gets 10 yards? How about the defense on the 4th and 10? How about Wallace for the drop on the last throw? How about Clabo for 2 huge penaties on the last 2 drives? All of these are why we lost, not just Tannehill.

Week 2... Tannehill had the same yards, on 10 less throws, a better % and 0 ints compared to 1. Not even.
Week 3. Yea.. THats pretty even.
Week 5. 307 yards 1 td compared to 269 with 0 td and an int. Not even
Week 7. Lewis had 0 tds and an int. Not even.
Week 8. Call it even if you want, But the officiating i that game was far from it.

Great post. I have noticed all the same things and completely agree with you. I think Ryan has shown tremendous growth and will only get better with experience. Just get the man a damn offensive line and a running back who can run in between the tackles.
