I give you full credit on Martin. As all of those sources you cited said and you mentioned ... he was soft.

Can't really agree with you on Tannehill though. He did well and improved in many important areas where we were very critical last year, including red zone efficiency and 3rd down efficiency. He still stares down his receivers, he still can't gauge Wallace's speed on the deep ball, and we still don't see that burning desire to win we used to see in Marino or see today in Rodgers and Brady. But, his demeanor does remind me of Bob Griese, and he went to the Hall of Fame, so I can't say that it is absolutely necessary.

On the Ireland front I will say this ... he underperformed and it was time for him to go. But, having lived through the Rick Spielman days and draft after draft of trading away picks or simply picking lemons, it was nice to get some talent through the doors. He certainly wasn't perfect or the best, but he wasn't the worst talent evaluator either. For our next GM I don't want to see someone who gets along with people ... I want to see someone who has a proven track record of predicting talent. If Farmer is our guy ... his track record isn't as impressive as some of these other candidates and it will feel as if we settled for the most convenient choice. I didn't want Parcells, but once he got in here it's been a LONG time since we were a perennial contender. I don't want to start another cycle of mediocrity. Now that we're replacing mediocrity ... it needs to be with excellence. Otherwise, we'll just punt Philbin next year and go through 3 more years of a new GM approved coaching staff, and I'm darn sick of mediocrity.
"I want guys who want to make an impact on and off the field. Good human beings. Guys who want to get better. Guys who want to improve. They want to be great, want to win. Those types of guys we can work with every day." --Joe Philbin

I love a good "look at me" thread. Especially one this bad. Gives me the opportunity to thumbs down stupidity such as the awful Tannehill thread you leaked to. Stick to your day job son. And maybe spend less time on the interwebz.

    This is my honest opinion...

...This Miami team is a very good team, and today's win was a very necessary and a well deserved win. The defense is as good as any defense in the NFL, no apparent weaknesses.
    Really?
