    I would re-sign Clemmons after allowing him to check the market and give us the chance to match or do better. But IMO, Carroll should get resigned before Clemmons.

    if they cut Patterson, you may be able to take the salary cap # of both of them to match Patterson's money and doesnt affect current cap.

    also Don Jones might make some noise.

    IMO Clemons is the most underrated player Miami has had for a long time. Many people on here poo poo him. Could we do better? Absolutely. Could we do worse? Absolutely. IMO if we can sign him with a fair deal we need him for about 3 more years. He's fast, smart, and knows our defense. He shows leadership on our defense which we desperately need. I feel if we lose him we are creating another hole. IMO there are bigger holes we need to fill this year. He does drop a lot of INT's and doesn't make a lot of big time plays which makes him about average to just above average. However, he plays the run well and is a smart player. If we can sign him for a good deal we should do so and focus on our bigger needs of OL and RB and LB.

    My point has been the backfield has played much worse when he has not been in there. It is not his play making ability that make him valuable it's his ability to get the backfield play better. Actually the backfield played its best in a long while last year so until we get the offensive line issued solved, linebacking issued solved plays a reliable running game we got bigger fish to fry than to be focused on a Safty position.

    We as fans complain about him because we know there are better players out there at his position and say if he leaves he leaves. Then when a replacement comes in and turns out not be not much of an upgrade or sometimes worse well.....kinda like the LB play before the switch out. It seems like there are much more pressing needs at least for this year, depending of course on what kind of contract he would accept.

    wow!!! if this is true, hickey is proving his worth right off the bat as we should have upgraded him a couple years back.

    the most OVER RATED player on the team and SUPER expendable. horrible cover safety.

    let him walk.
    LIFE BEHIND BARS!!

    Smart to let him test and not make him a priority going in
    hoops scoops 2012 season ..."in 2014 ryan tannehill etches his name in stone amongst the games elite qbs"..."ryan tannehill and andrew luck will carry the afc for the next decade plus the way peyton manning and tom brady have this last decade plus"
