This should come as no surprise to anyone whose seen my posts in here: Mass Effect 2.
It did almost everything right for me. Science fiction third person shooter, character driven plot, fantastic writing, excellent settings, highly polished(limited bugs), variety of different gameplay mechanics(the loyalty missions), high replay value, etc, etc, etc. Only real flaw that stood out was the "main" plot, which was fairly weak. I mean, in its essence its about alien abductions, not exactly ground breaking material there. Regardless, every few months i get a itch to replay the entire series and the second one is always the one that sucks me in.
Max Payne 2 is another game i absolutely adore as well and have to replay once a year or so.

Ill probably have to say the bioshock series. 1 was awesome and 2 was better. I actually just read the prequel book to it also haha.

.. I liked Starcraft! Lol.. Either that or Golden eye 64. Both those games were great! Hours of s

Gotta say dead space for me. I fell I love with everything about this game from the first time I played it. It's not so much horror anymore as it is action but it's still my favorite.

Fallout 3 was great. Will also add dragon quest viii and elder scrolls oblivion.
I don't think any company out there trumps Rockstar Games when it comes to voice acting...from GTA, to Red Dead...the voice overs have been nothing short of excellent. It's a shame that Red Dead's multiplayer has literally been broken since last August.

The original RBI Baseball and Metal Gear Solid. That shows my age a bit.
