    Where's Cyrus Kouandjio?

Seriously though, Deone Bucannon is a top 50 player in this draft. I've been telling people all year that he's the best safety I'd seen. The film showed it. The combine verified it.

    He's better than Clinton-Dix.

The little bit I saw he did not tackle well. At least now we know why Cyrus did not play well. I don't know how serious his condition is but it sounds like he may not even be drafted.

Slimm, in Bucannon, I see a ton of talent, but I also see a guy who is prone to bad angles and who misses a ton of tackles (because he doesn't wrap up, ducks his head, and leaves his feet). Do you see these as easy fixes or relative non-issues?

Didn't see any of it on this tackle of Tre Mason in the season opener.

He's done it right 220 times over the past two seasons.... which is more than any other safety in the country. He ain't missing too many...

To me you just described Taylor Mays coming out of USC. I don't see that in Bucannon.

I've never seen a safety that has never missed a tackle. Although I think Bucannon's angles are sometimes a combination of his aggressive nature and instinctive trigger making up for a poor defense with no talent at WSU.

I see a kid who hits and explodes through contact like few can... and it's because he breaks down well in space for his size, squares up and brings his feet with him when he tackles. He also has tremendous range and excellent ball skills.

I've watched Bucannon closely for over 2 years, and he's honestly always brought back memories of Darren Woodson at Arizona St. for me.
Whatever his flaws may be, I'll take 'em in the 33-40 range overall.

Bucannon's film this year showed a good ability to recover and react as a centerfield safety. I don't remember if it was Oregon or UCLA, but the corner got beat badly and Bucannon was able to recover in the endzone for the INT.

I was thinking about the miss against Mariota on the opening drive and the three missed tackles against Arizona State (the worst being the miss inside the 5 on the Taylor Kelly TD) . His INT in that game was beautiful, and he can really cover ground. On the missed tackles I saw, he dropped his head. I do think he's right there with Dix and Pryor (which makes sense in that 33-40 range), but I don't like them as much as I do Jimmie Ward.
