If the story would have been about a Muslim or black family, they government would have been sympathetic.
Meanwhile another million ILLEGAL Mexicans cross the border and law enforcement cannot arrest them.
“If I had a chance to talk to President Obama, I would ask him to let us stay in this great country of freedom and opportunity,” Daniel told me.
That's the problem. He was expecting to live in a great country of freedom and opportunity. A country which this really isn't any more. That is, unless you meet certain criteria. This is probably a blessing in disguise for that family. They will likely find that country elsewhere.
LOL what bull****.
Looks like we're getting a little loose with the term "persecution." Are they prevented from voting in Germany because of their religious beliefs? No? Then they should vote for politicians who will change the home-schooling laws there so they can be free to teach their kids whatever nonsense they want.
Let me know when they are prevented from taking part in the political system there, imprisoned, tortured, forced to convert to another religion, or killed.
There are plenty of reasons to not like the Obama administration. This kind of stuff should be left to the lunatic fringe (along with birthers, etc.).
I consider homeschooling to be on par with homedoctoring.
Leave it to the professionals.

"The problem with internet quotes lies in verifying their authenticity."
They loved getting money from the German government for the children (parents receive money per child from the German government) but did not want them to go to school.
It is absolutely right that they are being sent back. They can live their religious freedom as much as they want to but they have to send the children to school.

"You may think that you are some kind of god to these people. But we both know what you really are."
"What's that? A criminal?"
"Worse. A politician."

As a homeschool parent, I advocate the right to teach my child as I see fit. What I don't understand here is why these people can't just immigrate like normal people. Last I checked, it wasn't that hard to immigrate from Germany so someone educate me if I am wrong. Is this just a dramatized event by our noble politicians? Why deport Germans when there are millions of illegal aliens milking the system? I don't get any part of this, sounds like BS all around.
