Yah, fixing it...had trouble with the formatting and retyped the numbers in, hit the wrong digit. Thanks.

Man, SF with 6 picks in the first 3 rounds. Lots of potential.

I know, I didn't mention anything about it, but I thought, jeez..that is sick. They are loaded. This will really help them, maybe put them over the top.

This is a great draft to have a lot of picks in. The talent is deep in this one. You dont see drafts like these often.

Teams like San Fran with 6 picks in the first 3 rounds and Atlanta with 10 picks overall have a great chance to really add some quality players.

Yes. And I'm curious how Atlanta does. They're shoring up the O line just like we are. They had similar troubles we did...lack of good O linemen, red zone problems, lots of yards but not making the plays when needed, scheme issues, coaching issues. (And also, possibly QB issues). I like Matt Ryan, but I'm beginning to see why Parcells didn't take him over Long. I don't see an elite QB, yet.

    5th (155) - Kevin Norwood / WR / Alabama

    6th (190) - Tre Boston / S / North Carolina

    7th (234) - Brandon Linder / OG / Miami

    1st (19) - Morgan Moses / OT / Virginia

I haven't seen many of your posts about this year's draft but if this is what you're thinking we seem to be thinking along similar lines, especially with respect to guys like C.J. Mosley, Carlos Hyde, JaWuan James, Telvin Smith, Morgan Moses, Deone Buchanon, Jeremy Hill, Jack Tyler and Billy Turner.

Jack Tyler in particular I'm interested in hearing what you have to say about him as that's picking a needle from very DEEP in the haystack. I haven't heard a single other person talking about the guy anywhere on twitter or the other boards I frequent.

I've been enamored with him. He reads his keys from field level as quickly as someone can from a bird's eye view. You can tell by the depth of where he lines up and by whether he begins backing up or moving forward at the snap, his pre-snap identification of what the offense is doing according to situation and formation is near flawless. Pretty good tackler too. He's the leading tackler by far on one of the best run defenses in college football. He gets TFLs and gets after the quarterback as much as anyone from that position as well. Just the little things are very impressive, the way he goes seamlessly from primary to secondary assignments, where he's moving at the snap, etc.

He didn't get invited to the Combine and his pro day results are damn near impossible to find. I actually had to ask a Parisi speed school guy what his results were. Seems like nobody's onto the guy which means he probably goes UDFA. But he was running in the late 4.5's during training and the Parisi people he ran the pro day in the 4.6's. Tyler himself says he ran about a 4.7 which to me means he probably ran like a 4.68. Either way all of that is good enough, relative to the speed seen on tape.

The 40 time is somewhere around the top 50th percentile (4.68). His 26 bench reps were between top 30th percentile (25 reps) and top 10th percentile (28 reps). What is probably more interesting is he ran a 4.10 shuttle and a 6.89 cone. The shuttle is firmly within 10th percentile (4.12) and the cone drill is also firmly within the 10th percentile (6.93).

I don't know what his jump measurements were but based on the tape I wasn't expecting anything outrageous there.

Ben Gardner and Beau Allen are two other names you don't hear a lot that deserve a lot more publicity.
