It is in the corporations' best interest to get the most work possible for the least amount of payroll. It is in the workers' best interest to get the most money for their work. They come to an agreement and some people are better at negotiating than others. Seldom will corporations do what is not in their best interest and losing any worker they spent money to train is a problem. Thus they will offer competitive salaries, wages, and such. If a company is making financial and/or personnel decisions based upon sex, color, creed, religion, orientation, our what not in today's marketplace, it is financial suicide and just stupid. The market will meet its consumers demands eventually, without government intervention.

I just don't see the discrepancy in my business but I am sure it exists somewhere. However, I wholeheartedly oppose government intervention, even in government contractors. We may get some semblance of "equality" but say what cost to productivity?

I'm no Obama supporter but this is actually a good thing, big business needs to be more transparent and despite stories in the media about all this transparency in the work place it is quite the opposite to be honest, tt was far more transparent 20 years ago than now.

I used to be able to find pay scales and promotion requirements all the way up to executive level positions, now I can hardly find the requirements for my next promotion requirements all in the name of information security. It is bull**** to be honest and should be available to any who want to see the information and use it for advancment or placement.

Maybe I am missing something but the aricle states:

"Obama's go-it-alone strategy is hardly new. And his rate of signing executive orders is similar to that of President George W. Bush and lower than that of President Bill Clinton. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the most active signer of executive orders, issuing them at the rate of nearly one a day. But Obama has the lowest rate of executive orders since President Grover Cleveland, according to an analysis by the Brookings Institution."

    So...he's a 'King' huh?

So some here call him the worst President in history yet the OP's article is bull**** from the first sentence in the story onward. Makes sense.

    No.

    That's sort of the goal.

Keep outgoing costs low/incoming gains high

    Or.....did I miss something?

    Thanks Shifty!
