Any old timers from Miami remember Pirate's World ?

It was an amusement park in the 70's where they also would have rock concerts in the large barn next to it.
For $ 10 you could go on the rides all day and had admission to the concerts at night as well.
Saw Grand Funk railroad there at my very first concert. Lots of big names played there like Led Zeppelin , Grateful dead and Bowie.

    Rest in peace brother bigbry

Didn't they get forced to close down after one of the rides killed someone?

Not a lot of safety rules back then guys . They had the concerts is a big aluminum barn and packed everyone in like sardines. The restrooms were over flowing port a potties. Definitely a big fire and health hazard . As a kid I loved it.

It's on the small side IIRC, but I had a lot of fun there.

Caught some pretty good free concerts at the Miami zoo as well. Well free in no additional charge still have to pay the price of admission.
