One would think that as a rapist, you'd be able to catch your own crabs.

Good to see that Publix has a better defense than the Miami Hurricanes, though.

Tallahassee police have already determined something smells fishy with the witnesses' accounts of the crime.

Since Jameis Winston only took crab legs, police had no probable claws to arrest him.

Really wonder about Jameis Winston's decision making. This entire episode was high-bisque, low reward.

This story is gonna have legs . Jameis Winston didn't put the team first. That's mighty....shellfish.

Jameis is going to walk on these charges. Sideways, but he'll walk.

Winston should be drawn and buttered. Uh, quartered. Oh, never mind.

You have to imagine Jameis Winston will be a bit of a hermit after today.

Looks like they found a witness who's willing to testify

Pretty punny, but towards the end you were starting to flounder.

    He's a rapist.
Well that depends. If he's eventually drafted by the Phins, then he was only charged, but never convicted, so he's totally 100% innocent and potentially a saint. If he's drafted by the jests or pats, it's unbelievable that he wasn't convicted and the league is rigged.

I'm sure some would spin it that way.

Me, I don't want him or Big Ben on my team.
Take the damn bubble screen out of the playbook and call more freaking bootlegs in short yardage situations.

University and LE-entitled scumbag willfully avoiding detection to steal $30-odd dollars worth of product. I heard Charlie Casserly on Dan Patrick infer there are more issues with Johnny Manzel than what's known which will cause certain needy teams to keep their distance. Imagine what we don't know about Winston that teams' security will be dredging up before next draft. Despite his bogus "community service" hours of casual "sweeping," IMO the university's decision to reinstate him to the baseball team rather than using this as a tough love, actions-have-consequences learning experience IMO is disgraceful.

Investigator: Jameis Winston avoided store security
    http://www.floridatoday.com/story/ne...urity/8742727/
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Florida State star quarterback Jameis Winston appeared to avoid deputies when he walked out of the Ocala Road Publix last Tuesday.

A Leon County Sheriff's Office deputy said Winston ordered three pounds of steamed crab legs with Old Bay seasoning and one pound of steamed crawfish with Cajun seasoning and then left the store, according to the incident report released Monday.

The deputy, who wrote the report based on viewing the Publix surveillance video, then said Winston then came back in the store, collected his seafood and went to the dairy aisle and picked up a package of butter.

As he was leaving the store, Winston appeared to pause in front of a Leon County deputy who was working in-store security detail at the time. The pause, the incident report said, appeared to be an attempt to avoid walking in front of the deputy. He said Winston then walked behind the deputy, past all registers and out of the store.

A Publix employee told deputies he noticed Winston walk out of the store and assumed he hadn't paid for his purchase since he didn't have a grocery bag. He and his manager watched Winston walk out of the store because they thought he was grabbing a shopping cart. They soon realized Winston walked out without paying when he didn't return.
The seafood clerk who took Winston's order said the Heisman-winner regularly visits the store and that he gave Winston a bar code price tag on the seafood before he left the counter, the incident report said.
