    Don't know if this is exactly what the OP was getting at, but some nice debunking of recent claims of icky ingredients in beer.

    FWIW, if you don't mind dropping a few extra bucks on beer (think of it as buying a bottle of cheap wine) check out Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale if you can find it. $14 for a four pack at Whole Paycheck. Maybe get the rest of your beer needs at Trader Joe's ($6 for a six pack Naragasset tall cans) to even out your budget.
