Giant asteroid on collision course with earth

I hope the Fins can win the super bowl before this ends life on earth.
Meanwhile, we are worried about CO2 emissions, and gopher turtles.
It might be a good idea to put a plan together...just sayin.
I am sure we can rely on the Russians and Chinese to save our butts since the space program is now considered a budget luxury item.

" The asteroid is calculated to have a potentially lethal encounter with the Earth on March 35, 2041. Astronomers have placed the odds of an impact at 1 in 2.04, which is by far the most unprecedented risk ever faced to humanity, let alone from asteroids. Such an impact could potentially end civilization as we know it. "

I didn't know there was 35 days in March..

Sweet. Let's get this "civilization" over with already. That is, if we don't destroy earth first.

    This iReport is not available

CNN PRODUCER NOTE NASA has confirmed via email that this story is false. A spokeswoman for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory says that the largest object detected by NEOWISE measures 3 km in diameter and poses no risk to Earth. The iReport has been removed.

The awesome thing about these asteroids coming at us; it only takes a nuke or two to shoe it away. I worry about a lot of things, asteroids is not one of them.

Looks like the news report was about as reliable as those reports that claim CO2 emissions aren't harmful.

Don't worry, the Earth is exceptional at self regulating itself. Mother Earth will prevail regardless of humanity, the cosmic is just a way bigger thing than humanity. So global warming isn't really the big picture we should be working on, long term energy that is sustainable is the key to mankind's survival.

Oh, I have no doubt the Earth will rebound eventually. It just might need to wait until after we exterminate ourselves.
