It could have been much worse. He actually stopped and let a witness used his phone, what he could have done was kept driving, or stopped and murdered the witness and finished off his victim, maybe getting a quick rape in too. If it was me I`m pretty sure I just keep driving... my dad is so, so horrible.

Brian Hartline couldn't believe why someone would leave the scene of an accident

It is his son's responsibility but this is now the second son that commits a crime and doesn't take responsibility for it.
His son may be a grown man but there is a definite lack of character there in that bloodline.

For a guy that you always hear about that embraces character in his players he seemed to instill none in his sons.
Hope he is a better football coach than father

This is just sad man. Really? Talk about lack of character. Perhaps you should look in a mirror.

I actually wrote an article about this on PhinPhanatic.com this morning. Then deleted it. I don't think it has anything to do with the Dolphins and frankly, the dude is 26 years old and his dad isn't likely to bail him out. The Army will handle it now.

No Mike... There's nothing 'better' about it. It just gets worse.
Exhibit A for why I don't go to PFT anymore. Florio is an ass.

Yeah, blaming a parent for the transgressions of a grown man (or woman) is rather absurd. Once the child of a parent becomes an adult, it's up to the child to act responsibly and discipline themselves. I'm sure Joe is very disappointed in his son's actions here, but coach is in no way to blame for Matt's stupidity. Honestly, I don't even know why this story is already out there in the media. This should be handled privately between the family and Matt's employers, in this case, the military.
I just try to be myself, whatever that is. I don't think about how I'll be remembered. I just want to be consistent over a long period of time. That's what the great players do.

"Yep. Blow it up. This might the worst team I've ever seen constructed in my life.
And then you throw in the terrible preparation and in-game coaching. There is no defense.
