    Poll: Creationism or Evolution?

Just wondering because it seems like more people lean towards evolution on this board.

Based on the number of debates I have been involved in I would have to agree with you.

Players come and go, but I will always be a Miami Dolphins Fan first and foremost.

Bad poll...what about those who don't see a conflict between the two?

i would change creationsim to intelligent design because there are alot of different religions that believe their "god' created everything but they did it in a different manner than others. so that way you won't get somebody in here that says well i'm this or i'm that and my god didn't do either kind of a liberal statement there but hey it works i guess.

I thought creationism and intelligent design differed?

Depends on your perspective. Christians would agree with Intelligent Design to a point. Others would disagree with the details of Creationism. But the browad strokes of Intelligent Design encompass Creationsism.

Intelligent design does not identify what is the "intelligence behind the design". It could be space aliens, or God, or Horton Hears a Who, or anything in between.

    Id

was initially a type of "proof" for creationism back in the 1800's. The famous watch in the pasture example.

Currently, ID, IMHO, is being pushed by groups who traditionally sought to have creationism taught in schools but have been rebuffed by the SCT. Fascinating topic, scary to see scientific education under attack. Currently a lawsuit in Pennsylvania about ID in public schools.

Here are some interesting websites from both sides:

    http://www.talkorigins.org/
    http://www.ncseweb.org/

    http://www.discovery.org/

Here is an interesting article laying out both sides with additional links to cites (you can probably tell by name of site, which side it comes down on):
