If this is true he could have very well just vasovagaled and hit his head on the floor. A simple accident. A massive brain bleed is enough to kill you given enough time, but with nobody around to help before your brain herniates through the bottom of your skull, you're pretty much stuck. What a horrible tragedy. RIP buddy.
