We're gonna pick an Edge at #21

Chubb's first 3 contract seasons are objectively a negative balance.
 
Barrett was a nice signing and he can fill one starting spot. If Chubb or Phillips is ready to go, then we have a second starter. If not, we can find a vet for a few games.

Now... if both are ready to go, Barrett will be third man and we'll be fine as both Phillips and Chubb are under team control for a couple more years.

Reaching for an Edge in a poor Edge year?

Not ideal. This is the very definition of drafting for (short term) need over a BPA strategy.

Do you wanna draft a LG/LT project to "take over" from Armstead? That's a waste of resources IMO. In the end you are only hoping he can play LG if he's a LT or viceversa. LG has very low positional value.

We already have projected starters along the OL. We have nothing at RE. Wynn is healthy NOW.

Scoring 7 points against KC killed us.
Scoring 14 points against Buffalo killed us.

We haven't addressed that other than by losing Hunt, and swapping Brewer for Williams, and adding Jonnu.

You don't win in the NFL with 21 points over two games.

Falcons and Bears both need edge rushers. Hard to imagine all the teams picking 10-20 pass on that premium position with such a weak defensive class otherwise.

Yes, all three.

And edge rusher will win all tie breakers against all positions (outside of QB) when all things are equal,

Id give up a 2025 third rounder to secure anyone of the three.

DT in the 5th. Maybe trade up into the 3rd for one. We already brought a lot of bodies at iDL and we can bring more after the draft. Letting Wilkins go also shows how much we value the position.

If I was going to bet it would be on Tackle, Gaurd, Edge, DT, WR in that order of what position our 1st round pick will be.

The Oline has surprisingly come together nicely, the odds on us taking an Edge has definitely gone up since we signed so many Olinemen.

Wynn never stays healthy for very long....Armstead is always hurt.....Jackson has been hurt often, Jones was hurt last year, Eich played hurt all year....would be nice to bring in a young healthy top OL prospect for a change....imo the value for DT in this draft is in the 2nd round

The DTs in the 2nd round Rev my engine, the thought of taking one of them in the 1st round..... no, just no.
