If the Dolphins use their first pick on a WR, that all but confirms that Tyreek is no longer a Dolphin after the 2025 season -- whether through retirement or release.
2025 will probably be Tyreek's last year with the Dolphins. His cap number in 2024 and 2025 is a somewhat reasonable $31M and $34M respectively. However it goes up to an absurd $56M in 2026. However we can release or trade him then with only $11M in dead money and have a $45M cap savings.

The only way around that is to restructure and extend his contract which will lower his cap number but extend our financial commitment. Do we really want to do that? Will Tyreek be the same player in 3 or 4 years from now?

We're pulling Fever Dream's "Draft Guru" badge if he thinks Latham is the number one OT in the draft. I think he needs to look at the Michigan tape, especially the last drive.
LTs are just more valuable for most teams. The top OTs in the draft are the two best LTs. Alt and Fashanu. Ranking Latham above them for most teams is ludicrous. Even Dolphins related, if they took Latham they'd probably be planning to move Jackson back to his natural left side in 2025.

Last year, he had made a statement that he planned to retire after the 2025 season but walked that back shortly afterwards.
